I was an odd child of the '80s. I think I was only, like, 5 when Duran Duran became huge and yet I was still obsessed with them (namely Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor - never liked Simon LeBon, or Andy Taylor) - then came my Madonna and Cyndi Lauper obsessions (not any kind of lesbian obsession, mind you - I loves my men - but dressing like them and singing their songs 24/7). And to answer your question...I absolutely had an obsessive crush on Julian Lennon! GAWD!!! He was ever so hot back then...still looks good though. More recently, oddly enough, I wound up having a bit of a crush on Sean Lennon for some reason, though Julian's a million times hotter. Weird considering Paul McCartney's my favorite Beatle. Anyway, all the male artists back then were way better and hotter than the preteenybopping-turds out there now...The Jonas Brothers? Justin Timberlake? John Mayer? PUH-LEASE!!!!

I learned a few things from this Chart Attack this week-great job Carlos! I had no idea that Peter "Dance With Me" Brown cowrote "Material Girl", and I also had no idea that "Private Dancer" was written by Knopfler. I did know however that out of the 5 members of FGTH there isn't a synth player/programmer among them (singer/drummer/bass/guitar/dancer), and was told by a knowledgable roommate that Trevor Horn used members of Art of Noise to make the backing tracks, which makes perfect sense since they were also on the ZTT label at the time. The 12" of "Relax" is still one of my favorites, with the 7 minute "Sex Mix" brilliantly building up to a climax like the sex act itself. And I also owned "Can't Fight This Feeling" on 45 at the time, although I'm not nearly as fond of it anymore.

My infatuation with Jenny is mostly because she's just about the smartest lyricist in music right now, for me at least. And yeah, she's super cute. Before Mulgrew's post, I didn't know she had such an endowment (please support PBS). I'd like to say that I'm not superficial in the least, but that would totally fall apart under scrutiny of my Jennifer Connelly infatuation. Regardless, if Jenny called me today, all other beings of the gender would completely fall by the wayside, bra size be damned. DwD

Yup, over Bono. You get extra credit points and TWO gold stars! Anyone with a similar nose that I should direct my attention towards these days? I'm open to suggestions.

Cam'ron! (Hey ma!) (Wasuh?) Nope. Not him. Good try. Yeah, Jewel got skanky a few years ago, didn't she? It's like, she wanted to be a slut, but tried to play it sort of safe by "portraying" sluts...big difference people, right? Umm, no. Not when there is a white T and a fire hose involved. Just my opinion. (Oh, btw, it's Bono, silly. You knew that!)

Oooh! I remember when I had a crush on Jewel. I was totally turned off by her pop/dance music turn a few years ago, though.

DW, ever read Mulgrew's post about Jenny Lewis?

This is easy for me - my crush is split between Jenny Lewis and Jewel. Assume away...
