Have you guys heard this song? I heard it a week or so ago at the gym and was surprised to find that I kinda liked it. (Most of the music at the gym sucks, which is a story for another post.) Well, as luck would have it, only a few days later I was up in Albany, NY at The Tulip Festival, and who should be playing on the mainstage that afternoon but Under The Influence Of Giants?
I took a few photos of the band. The lead singer really likes to pose. I like them a little less now.
However, I spent most of my time looking at one specific fan near the back of the stage. I don’t know who this guy is, but he fuckin’ digs this band.

I’ve been including their "Against All Odds" song on many a mix over the past few months. Great song. Better than "Mama’s Room."

I bought their CD last year and I was surprised that none of the bloggers seemed to pick up on them. I think their fun.

I was just introduced to this song a few weeks ago myself…and I kinda dig it as well. What was up with the singer shrieking into the mic at the end of the video? Does he think he’s Prince?

When I saw Phoenix perform in December of ‘04, one of the openers had a frontman who posed like that. His parents were dancing right up front and cheering him on. It was a strange sight.

Could those white trousers BE any tighter?! Says me about the lead singer from Under the Influence of Giants. It’s like he thinks he’s Nigel Smalls!
