Just found this entry when doing a Google search on jefitoblog to figure out what happened to the site. When I was attempting to access the site last week, I was hoping there was something wrong with my browser. Jeff, if your site does return, I think the first post should include a link to "Tubthumpin’" cause you keep getting knocked down, but you get up again.

See Jeff? See how much you’re loved and missed? You know there’s a whole statistics thing about how every response like these actually represent so many more…blah, blah, blah. My point is….these almost 4 dozen responses here just represent a fraction of your blog loving audience who a) knew to come here, b) bothered to write and c) aren’t currently incarcerated (yes…OJ was a big Jefito fan…). So do the math and see that you’re needed back on the blog scene. Not relegated to some monthly, cameo post on friends’ blogs bullshit…but back in your own space.
Plus it’s sickening me to wait for the other shoe to drop…do we even get a hint of what your future plans might be? Post a list of what you need and let the troops rally! And would it helped if I begged? And thanks again….

I’ve been reading Jefitoblog for a couple of years now and I check it daily. It would be a damn shame if the SOB’s took Jeff out for good. There are a trillion music blogs on the interwebs but none of them are as well written with such humor and love of music (both good and bad) as Jeffito. Whatever I can do to help, let me know.

Just to chime in and say that I only discovered jefitoblog a few months back and would be very sorry to see it go. That there was some quality stuff- words and music. But I’ll also concur with Peggy: You don’t owe us anything Jeff; if anything we owe you. So many of the blogs I look at lately seem to have turned from labors of love into whomping headaches for the bloggers. If I had the discipline to have written that much over the years, I’d be shooting my toes off one by one thinking that it was all about to be wiped clean without a second thought. But the future lives. Good luck and thanks, Jeff.

There’s an old joke (I honestly don’t remember the first part of it) with the punchline, “Jesus saves.” It was a computer joke referring to backing up your computer work. No offense Jefito, but I thought after the Great Hard Drive Failure of ‘06 you would have backed up the website.

But I should talk. I have loads of music on my computer un-archived.

Let this be a lesson to us all.

Still, the important thing is the music. There is no one who can fill Jefito’s shoes. Period. So archive or no archive, I hope he will continue the fight. Jefitoblog is dead. Long live Jefitoblog!
